My "Vee"
In case you'd wondered, the name veehicular.net is a cheap play on words around my car, known popularly by owners as a "Vee". More officially known as a RenaultSport Clio V6 255, I have owned mine since new and as anybody will tell you I'm a wee bit passionate about it!
I'm a moderator and all round busy person on the biggest and best Clio V6 owners' club ... v6clio.net.
If you're a fellow V6 Clio owner who's stumbled on this site, please do visit us at v6clio.net and register your car in our owners register as well as joining our lively forum.
Potted History
A spin-off from the Clio Trophy race car series and first previewed at the Paris Motor Show in 1998, the Clio V6 230 Mk 1 finally hit the streets in 2001. Mid-engined and rear-wheel drive with a 3.0 litre V6 engine where the rear seats would normally be, the Clio V6 gives the driver supercar characteristics in a "pocket sized" package. In 2003 the Clio V6 255 Mk 2 was released with more power, improved suspension and updated looks. The last Clio V6 rolled out of the RenaultSport factory in late 2005.
All Clio V6s were hand assembled. The Clio V6 Mk1s were assembled at the Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) workshops in Uddevalla in Sweden, using parts shipped from France. For the Clio V6 Mk2 production was returned to the Vee's spiritual home at the ex-Alpine RenaultSport Dieppe factory. To recognize the relative rarity of Clio V6s, each car is numbered with a plaque on the centre console behind the handbrake.

The Goodwood Breakfast Club is held on the first Sunday of the month through much of the year. Each month is themed, with chosen cars being allowed to park outside the Goodwood Cafe. The June event was for "Supercars" and so a group of v6clio.net members met at the top of the A3 and then convoyed down to Goodwood. Our convoy was augmented by various other interesting cars, including Tony in his Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, and the drive was "spirited" at times. |

I never take chances when my car is in the garage for a service or maintenance, and so always wash it beforehand to make it easy to spot any "dings" it might pick up in the dealer's car park. Just prior to it going in for its first 12k service I took the opportunity of it being a glorious morning and the car being shiny to take some pictures of it up behind the Hampshire Rosebowl cricket ground. |

The UK leg of the 2006 World Series Renault was held at Donington in September. v6clio.net was invited by Renault to park in the centre of the circuit as part of their Historic Collection area. As well as having our cars "admired" by the thousands who came to look at the Collection across the two days, we also got to do a parade lap. Obvious parade laps are intended to be sedate ... which is why I touched 100MPH on the straight! |

When I go out exploring my car often comes with me, and since I've got my camera and tripod with me it'd be rude not to ... |
